Mrs. Carole Dean Vinson Ostrowski of Milton, FL passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Santa Rosa Medical Center. She was 71. 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 16 at Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Newton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. 

Carole was born February 17, 1944 in Newport News, Virginia to the late Randall Ford and Mabel Coe Dean. She possessed  a free spirit and was very artistic and creative as demonstrated by her paintings, sewing and poetry. She was sharp as a tack and quick with her wit. Her physical resilience was complimented by her immeasurable kindness. Her grandchildren were her heart and she encouraged their artistic, intellectual and spiritual development.  She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed. 

In addition to her parents, her first husband and the father of her children, Johnny Mack Vinson and daughter Carole Renée Williamson preceded her in death. 

 

Survivors include her husband, David Ostrowski, Milton, FL; one daughter, Michelle Noblin, Panama City, FL; one son, John Randall Vinson (Paige), Franklin, TN; six grandchildren: Heather Williamson, Tyler Searcy, Haden Searcy, Amanda Williamson, John Ross Vinson and Lindsay Vinson; two sisters: Gayle Travis, Birmingham and Melissa Arnold (Doug), Hanceville; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
