Mr. Ronald J. "Hatchet"  Huguley of Slocomb passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Signature Health Care of North Florida. He was 77. 

Memorilization will be by cremation and a private service will be held at a later date. 

Mr. Huguley was born August 25, 1938 in Phenix City, AL to the late Benny Thornton and Arlene Mae Kent Huguley.  Hatchet was a free spirit and loved riding his motorcycle. He belonged to the Order of The Knights Templar (Scottish Rites) and was a 32nd. degree Mason. He worked as a sheet metal worker with the Union as well as the Russell County Sheriff's Department.  He was a loving and caring father, grandfather and friend who will be greatly missed. 

In addition to his parents, one daughter, Toni Scarborough preceded him in death. 

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Cathy Cunningham Huguley;  children:  Dale Jenkins, Kathy Huguley, Gina Armstrong, Ron Cunningham Huguley, Corey Huguley and Casey Huguley;   17 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; one sister, Joan Christine Kindrick; special friend, Larry Quattlebaum; other extended family and a host of friends.
