Mrs. Jewel Dell Outlaw of Dothan passed away Monday, October 5, 2015 at Flowers Hospital. She was 74. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in the Bethlehem Community of Holmes County, FL with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until service time. 

Mrs. Outlaw was born May 29, 1941 in Geneva County to the late Henry Shorter and Mammie Idella Tate Martin. Jewel possessed an outgoing personality and loved to play bingo. She was a loving mother and caring grandmother who will be dearly missed. 

In addition to her parents, her husband, Robert Ralph Outlaw and numerous siblings preceded her in death. 

Survivors include two daughters: Nancy Eldridge (Larry), Wicksburg and Jennifer Wood (Ronnie Steed), Dothan; three sons: Timothy Bruce Cassady (Susan), Dothan, Tommy Brian Cassady (Kim), Cowarts and Thomas Bradford Cassady (Latoya), San Antonia, TX; 21 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Linnie Bell Holley, Freeport, FL; one brother, Ned Chancey (Doris), Niceville, FL; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
