Mrs. Beulah Grantham Saunders Kirkland of Slocomb passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015 at her home. She was 93.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2015 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Slocomb with Rev.Van Gauthe officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 2346 West Main Street, Suite 3, Dothan, AL 36301.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
Mrs. Beulah was born February 3, 1922 in Geneva County to the late George R. and Jessie Mae McClellan Grantham. She was a dedicated wife to her husband of 66 years and a loving mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Doyce Martin Kirkland; a son, Gary Martin Kirkland; three brothers and three sisters all preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Donna and Kay Reeves of Long Beach, CA; a grandson, Nicholas Reeves (Jennifer), San Celemente, CA; six great-grandchildren; siblings: Marie Cox, Jeanette Ryland, Katie Sorrells, Talma Clark, Ruth Dunham, Barbara Gayle Gilley, Mary Chamberlin, Shirley Davis, Bennie Joe Grantham and George Grantham ; several nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
