April and Harris, I learned of your father's death last night when I returned from Birmingham. I had been there for several days to visit with the girls and grandkids. Mark, Elizabeth and Luke came in from Maui to baptize Eleanor's daughter Abigail. I was reading several issues of the Eagle and saw that your father had died when I read his obit in Saturday's paper. I have to be in Elmore County for court today and cannot attend the services. I am so sorry. Doug
Beth and Wesley, I am so sorry to learn of your loss. Please know that I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Sorry I will not make it to the funeral.
Beth , Our deepest sympathy go out to you and all of you and Bills family. He will be missed so very much. We always loved seeing him at the bank where he would greet everyone with a sweet smile. Praying for comfort and peace from God Almighty. He can surely give that in our sadness . Most Fondly, Marsha and Mike Walton
I am very sorry for your families loss. I went to school with Bill and lived in the same apt building above him and Steve Lee. We had a good time at Auburn, and would all pool our money and have a big pot of spaghetti on Friday nights. He had a heart of gold, and a determination that we all admired.
Very sorry to hear of Bill's passing. We had some good times together back in the day, and I'll always remember them with a smile. Miss you, buddy.
