 Mrs. Bobbie Lorraine Thomley of Wicksburg passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. She was 86.  

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 23, 2025, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb with her grandson, pastor Dustin Lee officiating, a loving remembrance from grandson, Hunter Young, and Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. Interment will follow in the Goodwater Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.  

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service time.  

Mrs. Thomley was born March 13,1939, in Ozark, Alabama to the late Robert D. and Lucille Smith Ammons. Her greatest pride and joy were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She cherished her family deeply and was a source of warmth and affection, always nurturing and supporting those she loved. Along with love for family, she had a passion for gardening and flowers and found serenity and joy in the beauty of nature. Whether tending to her plants or watching the birds, she found peace and contentment in these simple pleasures.  

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dolphas Thomley, two brothers: James Ammons, and Robert Lawrence Ammons; two sisters: Gladys Gray, and Ollie Belle Cavitt.  

Survivors include her daughters: Wanda Parker (Larry), Brenda Young (Tony), and Lynn Lee (David); son, Dolphas Jarrard Thomley; grandchildren: Joseph Parker (Magan), Wesley Parker (Ashley), Jared Young (Christina), Hunter Young (Christie), Dustin Lee (Danielle) Drew Lee (Lindsey), and Cody Lee (Madison); great-grandchildren: Jackson Parker, Gracyn Parker, Harper Maddox, Camp Young, Vivi Young, Shep Young, Wells Young, Kate Lee, Brady Lee, Brydie Lee, Andrew Lee, and Annie Lee; sisters Jeannie Parker and Bertha Lee Strickland; sister-in-laws: Christie Thomley and Margie Ammons, and numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.
