                Clifton M. "Cowboy” Eslava passed away on March 11,2025, in Dothan, Alabama, at the age of 89.   Born on September 21, 1935, in Magnolia Springs, Alabama, Cowboy spent his early years on a farm, where he developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He attended Magnolia Springs Catholic School and remained devoted to his Catholic faith throughout his life.   As a young man, Cowboy moved to Slocomb, Alabama, where he took a job as a projectionist at the local movie theater. It was there that he met Janet, who would become his beloved wife. He later built a long career working for E.R. Porter Hardware Company, where he was known for his dedication and hard work Cowboy had a passion for hunting and fishing, pursuits that connected him to nature and brought him great joy over the years. His love for the outdoors was a defining part of his life, shaped by his upbringing on the farm in Magnolia Springs.   He is survived by his wife, Janet Eslava; his sisters Margie (Andrew) Leon and Judy (Clifton) Stumpt, and his brother Norman (Edith) Eslava. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irma and Almeta Eslava, and his sister Celina (Tony) Winn.   Cowboys memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May he rest in peace.
