Wednesday, August 27, 1952 - Saturday, March 1, 2025

Mrs. Jane Sizemore of Dothan went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, March 1, 2025.  She was 72.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at New Beginning Church in Ashford with Pastor Logan Johnson officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.  Interment will follow in the Hartford City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to service time.

Mrs. Sizemore was born on August 27, 1952, in Ypsilanti, MI to the late Raymond and Floretta Holloway Tackett. Jane was a wife (pastor’s wife), mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and she excelled at every title. She worked in the restaurant business as a cook from early childhood prior to pursuing a career in child development and was honored to serve as assistant director of a local child day care. She embodied Proverb’s 31; serving the Lord and always making her husband and children look good. Jane loved her family dearly was the glue that kept them together.  Although she suffered in pain and sickness the past few years of her life, she never lost her smile and would always say, “this too shall pass”.

In addition to her parents, a son, Tommy Holloway preceded her in death.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Pastor David Sizemore; daughters: Rhonda Smallwood (Mike), Dothan, and Fay Powe (Wes), Bartow, FL; son, Jeff Sizemore, Mulberry, FL; six grandsons; two granddaughters; twelve great grandchildren; sisters: Sue Estabrook, Bartow, FL, Gail Belvins, Bartow, FL, and a special “sister buddy”, Margaret Presley, Bartow, FL; brothers: Charlie Tackett, Virgie, KY, and Gary Tacket, Virgie, KY; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
