Mrs. Martha Odell Oliver of Dothan, passed away on October 29, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 95.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, November 1, 2024 at Malvern Baptist Church with Rev. Hosea Parker officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

The family will receive friends at the church on Friday beginning at 1:00 PM and continuing until service time.  

Mrs. Oliver was born on March 10, 1929 in Holmes County, Florida to the late Coley Carnley and Annie Holland Carnley. She was a woman of great faith and raised her three children to love and serve the Lord. Martha was a military wife and had resided in numerous places, where she made each place a loving home, for her and her family. She was an avid bowler and received many trophies to attest to her bowling skills. Martha was loved by all that knew her and will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, her husband, of 74 years, Lindell Lee Oliver and 10 siblings proceeded her in death.

Survivors include her one daughter: Katrina M. Medley; two sons, Ronnie Lee Oliver(Patsy), and Tyndel Monroe Oliver; grandchildren: Blake Oliver(Beth), Britney Turk(David), and Travis Fondren; great grandchildren: Davis, Luke, Liam, and Lucy, and many extended family and friends.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Gentiva hospice, her caregivers: Nina, Glenda, Stella, Brenda, Patsy, and Rosa; for all the love and care that was shown to Mrs. Oliver during this time.

I had the pleasure of taking care of Mrs Oliver when she was at Extendicare. She was such a sweet soul and she will be missed.
