Milton "Jimmy" Harris, Jr.

Mr. Milton Edward “Jimmy” Harris, Jr. of Slocomb passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024 at his home. He was 66.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23 at Malvern Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Hosea Parker officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family request that contributions be made to Malvern Baptist Church 161 Church Street, Slocomb, AL 36375 in Mr. Harris’s memory.

Mr. Harris was born July 14, 1958 in Dothan to the late Lawrence and Vivian Cargill Harris. Jimmy was a special education teacher in the Geneva County School System for several years. He served one term as Mayor of Malvern and enjoyed being involved with the senior citizens in Malvern. Jimmy always looked forward to being Santa Claus and seeing the smiling faces of children. Mr. Harris was a member of Malvern Baptist Church.

He is survived by family and a host of friends who loved him dearly.
