Mrs. Joyce Dorriety Enfinger, a beloved resident of Tallahassee, FL, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024, at the age of 77. She will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
Funeral services to honor her life will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, March 29, 2024, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb. Reverend Eugene Hatcher will officiate the service, with burial to follow in the Hartford City Cemetery, with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Friday, starting at 11:00 a.m., to pay their respects and offer condolences until the time of the service.
Born on August 3, 1946, in Hartford to the late Huey and Veeda Searcy Dorriety, Joyce's journey was one of warmth, generosity, and dedication. She pursued her passion for cosmetology, obtaining her license and working with Suburban Salon in Tallahassee, FL, where she served her community with care and skill until her recent retirement due to health reasons.
Joyce leaves behind her loving husband, Mike Enfinger; her devoted son, Michael Enfinger (Jena); her dear brother, Jack Dorriety (Jenny); cherished nieces: Teresa Bock (Nick), Delene Watts (Rob); beloved nephews: Tommy Dorriety (Amy), and Donald Dorriety; caring brothers-in-law: Keith Enfinger (Debbie), Steve Enfinger (Lisa); and numerous other extended family members and friends.
In every interaction and endeavor, Joyce's warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on those around her. Though she may no longer walk beside us, her memory will continue to brighten our hearts, and her legacy of love and compassion will endure through the lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace.
