Mr. Theodore “Ted” Hatfield of Taylor passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Flowers Hospital with his loving family by his side.  He was 80. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb.  Interment will follow in the Garden’s of Memory Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time. 

Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made in Ted’s honor to your favorite charity. 

Mr. Hatfield was born January 3, 1944 to the late Doyle T. and Lillie Sampley Hatfield. 

In addition to his parents, sister, Catia Hvarven; four brothers: Tommy Hatfield, David Hatfield, Gary Hatfield, and Doyle Hatfield, all preceded him in death. 

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Sharon Harrell Hatfield; one daughter, Susan Hatfield (Sean Forbes); grandson, Tyrion Forbes; siblings: Sara Schmittendorf (Jim), Louise Sheffield (Larry), Kenny Hatfield (Maelynn), Gail Meadows, Jeff Hatfield (Corrine), Martha Vickers (Gary), and Sandra Moody; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
