Cathy Merritt

Mrs. Cathy Merritt of Cottonwood passed away Friday, February 9, 2024 at her home. She was 59. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, February 12, 2024 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 5:00 p.m. and continue until service time. 

Mrs. Merritt was born August 26, 1964 in Dothan to the late Burl Hall and Katrine Henderson Hall. Cathy loved her family and her church family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. 

Survivors include her husband, Randy Merritt; two daughters: Brandee Compton, and Casey Bilderback; son, JW Garner; grandchildren: Brandon Dean, Mason Bilderback, Luke and Logan Bilderback, Bryson Russ, Henleigh and Josh Lynn Garner; David Dean and Sherry Richardson; other extended family and friends.
