Michael A. Nowell peacefully left this earth to return home to our Heavenly Father on Friday December 29, 2023. He was 72. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2024 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb with James Andreasen officiating. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday following the service. 

Mr. Nowell was born December 12, 1951 in Inglewood, CA. He served honorably in the Navy and Army for 23.5 years. He made his best decision in August of 1970 when he married his wife of 53 years, Sharon Nowell. They not only drove a big rig as a team, but loved and raised their family as a team as well. Michael was a loving Father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He served as a guiding light to many & was a great example of our Heavenly Fathers love. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nancy Holborow and Clifton Nowell. 

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Nowell; daughters: Rebecca Plotts (Robert), and Maria Smith (Aaron); sons: Michael Nowell II (Heather), Clifton Nowell (Nakeysha), Matthew Nowell (Kristen); grandchildren: Diane Kancauski, Kilee Cronin (Matthew), Kandon Nowell, Kowen Nowell, Kaisen Nowell, Kodi Nowell, Johnathon Nowell (Lauren), Lacey Daniels (Garrett), Alexander Smith, Marcus Smith, Robert Plotts, Andrew Plotts, Sierra Plotts, Claire Plotts, and Logan Plotts; great grandson, Anakin Daniels; brothers: Steven Nowell (Connie), and Frank Holborow; other extended family and friends.
