Sunday, October 6, 1985 - Tuesday, October 10, 2023

Laura Anne Donnell Miller of Midland Texas, formerly of Bellwood Alabama, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, October 10, 2023. She was 38 years old.

Laura was born October 6, 1985 in Dothan Alabama to Mac Wayne Donnell and Melissa Anne MacKenzie Donnell. She was a graduate of Enterprise High School and attended Auburn University where she marched in Auburn’s marching band. Laura was gifted a genetic “green thumb” and loved her plants and flowers.  She was a natural adventurer and traveled the country seeking friendships and sparking joy with her smile wherever she went. She loved music, her dogs, and cooking.  She was always excited to share her home cooked meals with friends to give them a taste of her home in Southern Alabama.  She will be greatly missed by all.

Laura was preceded in death by her grandparents: Richard and Peggy MacKenzie; uncles: Scott MacKenzie and Daniel Gadzala.

Survivors include her husband, James “Bo” Miller of Dickinson, ND; father, Mac Wayne Donnell of Bellwood; mother, Melissa MacKenzie Donnell of Enterprise; brother: Devin (Katherine) Donnell of Bellwood; nieces: Mary Kate and Magnolia Donnell; grandparents: WM and Sonja Donnell of Bellwood; uncles and aunts: Bruce (Chelle) MacKenzie, Jana (Larry) Dove, Rhea MacKenzie, Edith (John) Teal, Kim (Clark) Archer, Kathy Gadzala; and numerous cousins, other relatives, and friends.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2023 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until service time.

I went to EHS with Laura, where we were in the FFA together (and discovered that we were actually related). I'm so sad to hear of the passing of such a radiant and self-possesed woman; I'm sure she made a wonderful impact on the world in her short time. My condolences to her family, I know Laura will be greatly missed.

May the memory of Laura bring love, and warmth; plentiful stories that will bring smiles to everyone that hears her name; with just enough tears to remind us how precious life is. All the love to you, and yours: the Chambers
