Jeffrey Brent (J.B.) Miller

Mr. Jeffrey Brent (J.B.) Miller went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Tuesday September 5th at Flowers Hospital. He was surrounded by his wife, Sharon, and family members Dr. and Mrs. Wiley Smith, Mr. Isaac Smith, Mrs. Erika Parks and Elan Parks.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 12th, 2023 at Higher Praise Church with Pastors Hilburn Stanley and Billy Fillingim officiating.  Burial will follow at the Hartford City Cemetery under the direction of Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb.

The family will receive friends starting at 10 AM and continuing until the service time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Higher Praise Church, 100 West Commerce Street, Hartford AL 36344. 

Mr. Miller was born on January 3, 1955 at Ft. Benning, Georgia to the late Marcus Clayton and Edna Earl Wright Miller.  He graduated from Auburn University School of Accounting in December, 1979.  He prepared tax returns and owned a video store in Slocomb for a number of years.  He worked as an accountant in the Dothan area. 

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Parker Miller, family members Jeff Parker, Jeremy Parker, Rebecca Parker Schieler, Matthew with Ella Mae and Olver Schieler, Dr. Wiley Smith, Karon Parker Smith, Erika Nicole Parks, Aaron Parks with Connor, Elan and Annalise, Deanna Smith Hall with Patrick and Miracle, Elizabeth and Isaiah, Nathan Smith, Isaac Smith with Amanda Smith, Ruby and Simon, Tina Singleton (Kevin), Kenneth Jr. (Delana) Grayson, Landon Miller, Clayton Miller and Cindy Miller.
