Heather Faith Wartenberg

Heather Faith Wartenberg, 47, of Fort Collins, Colorado, formerly of Marianna, Florida, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at The Denver Hospice Inpatient Care Center with her family by her side.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Shady Grove Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until service time.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in Heathers memory to the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Association, 66 Ford Road, Suite 213B, Denville, NJ 07834.

Heather was born July 7, 1976, in Marianna, FL to Ronda Basford and Mark Beiler. She attained her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Barry University and served in numerous capacities throughout her business career. Heather was 21 years old when she was diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy but chose to live life to the fullest for as long as she was able. She loved gardening, traveling, camping and paddle boarding but most importantly she loved spending time with her daughter and many dear friends. Heather volunteered in numerous organizations with her last one being part of the Tim Tebow Foundations “Night to Shine.” She was also very active with Mercy in Action. Heather was passionate about bringing awareness to her heart condition, along with educating others on the importance of organ donation.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents; Hershel and Nada Basford and paternal grandparents, Sam and Betty Beiler.

Heather is survived by her daughter Alexandria; mother, Ronda Basford Edenfield (Jessie); father, Mark Beiler (Barbara); sister, Katrina Reese; one niece, Sasha Reese; great niece, Evelyn and great nephew, Coulson; her two K-9 companions, Callie and Pearl; along with other very special extended family and friends.
