Dear Carol, although Charles' death was not unexpected it was nevertheless a sad thing to hear. You and Charles have been dear friends for years. He was a valued colleague in the Math Dept. at the Univ. of Arkansas at Monticello--someone who I could always count on regardless of the situation. He was the only bridge player in Monticello who was willing to learn and play the 2 over 1 System with me. He was Hilda Garrett's backseat partner and fellow bridge student on the many Tuesday nights we traveled to Dumas. He loved our annual March Madness basketball pool and was always an eager participant. God bless you, Carol, and may He welcome Charles' soul.
