Miss Linda Faye Moring, a lifelong resident of Geneva County, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023.  She was 67. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 15, 2023 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb with Rev. Eddie Biss, chaplain for Gentiva Hospice officiating.  Interment will follow in the New Teamon Baptist Church Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until service time. 

Miss Moring was born January 9, 1956 in Geneva County to the late John Dallas and Norma V. Hall Moring.  Although Faye never married and had no children of her own, she unselfishly devoted her life to compassionately caring for her family. Loving by nature, she was an adored daughter, sister, and aunt and was an adopted grandmother to many.  She was employed with the State of Alabama for over 40 years until her retirement.  She was an avid Atlanta Braves Baseball fan and enjoyed watching the San Francisco 49ers.    

In addition to her parents, a sister, Brenda Jean Moring; and a brother, John Edward Moring all preceded her in death. 

Survivors include her nephew, John Michael Moring and his wife Angela, Slocomb; niece, Tracy Lynn Adamson and her husband Chris, Brundidge; great nephews: Dallas Moring, Matthew Shinberger, Mark Shinberger, and Tyler Crutchfield; great nieces: LaceyRae Goddin, and Amanada Widmer; other nieces, nephews, and additional extended family and friends.
