Mrs. Nancy Bassett Holloway of Dothan went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Southeast Health.  She was 86. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Bay Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Hosea Parker and Rev. Tommy Green officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until service time. 

Mrs. Holloway was born in Randolph County, Alabama on December 14, 1936 to the late Rev. Guy G. and Annie E. Bassett.  Nancy was a graduate of Handley High School in Roanoke.  After raising four children and fostering two nieces and a nephew, she completed a Bachelor Degree in Education from Troy State University – Dothan. She taught at a local adult education center prior to teaching for many years at Webb Elementary School. She was a woman of faith, sang in the church choir, and played the piano and organ for worship services. Mrs. Holloway was married to Rev. C.M. Holloway for 66 years, serving alongside of him in the ministry, and was known to possess the gift of contentment. She was a loving wife, and an adoring mother, grandmother, and a faithful friend to many. 

In addition to her parents, a brother, Donald Bassett, and a niece, Lana Boutwell Yance all preceded her in death. 

Survivors include her loving husband, Rev. Coley Myer Holloway, Sr; daughters: Elizabeth H. Yesbick (Wayne), Jaquelyn H. Dodson (Phillip), and Rebecca H. Kasten (Jeff); son, Coley M. Holloway, Jr. (Pam); grandchildren: Eric Yesbick, Miranda Yesbick Peters (Matt), Emily Holloway, Trevor Kasten, and Tyler Kasten; great grandchildren: Marshall Peters, and Maverick Peters; sister, Patricia Bassett Barck (Gene); niece, Elaine Boutwell Carroll (Ken); nephew, Ronnie Boutwell (Jacquie); numerous other nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
