Shannon Eric Wambles passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023. He was 50.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb. Burial will follow in the Bellwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until service time.
He was born August 28, 1972 in Enterprise to Johnny & Sandra Wambles from Bellwood. Shannon served in the U.S. Army. He later went into construction following in his dad’s footsteps. Shannon spent his free time with family which he valued the most., fishing, and playing guitar. Shannon was a loving, and devoted husband, son, brother, father, and friend. He will be remembered for his encouraging words and will be greatly missed by all who knew him and will live in our hearts forever.
Shannon is survived by his wife, Nancy Willis Wambles; two stepchildren: Madison and Will. His parents, Johnny and Sandra Wambles. He leaves behind also one sister, Angel Jones; three brothers: Scott, Chad, and Dusty Wambles; ten nephews; eight nieces; three great nephews; three great nieces. Numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
