Mr. Raegan Everett Kelley of Slocomb passed away January 13, 2014. He was 22.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 17 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Byrd officiating and Jon Williams delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing.
The family will receive friends at Sorrells Funeral Home on Thursday, January 16 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions will be accepted by Friends Bank.
Raegan was born on February 18, 1991 in Houston County to the late Randy Kelley and Leigh Peters Kelley Lawson. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was a graduate of the Slocomb High School Class of 2009 and was an avid Alabama fan. Raegan possessed a sweet and kind-hearted spirit, was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
Raegan was preceded in death by his father Randy, his paternal grandparents Clayton Kelley and Martha White Riley and his aunt, Diane Weed.
Survivors include his mother, Leigh Lawson and his brother, Ivey Lawson, Slocomb; grandparents, Gerald and Dorothy Peters, Slocomb; aunts and uncles: Jon and Sirena Williams, Stephen and Kasey Peters all of Slocomb, Tony and Carla Kelley, Rehobeth, Jay and Teresa Kelley, Slocomb; special cousins: Lacey and Logan Williams and Kasen Peters all of Slocomb; numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends: TJ Bradley and Blake Kelley who all loved him very much.
Pallbearers will be T J Bradley, Brian McAllister, Jamey McAllister, Blake Kelley, Steven Hyatt and Josh Carroll.
