Mrs. Elizabeth Lavoni Yeomans of Hartford passed away Tuesday, January14, 2014 at SAMC. She was 84.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Christian Home Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.
Mrs. Yeomans was born on June 11, 1929 in Houston County to the late Isom Byrd and Rena Mae Mullins Searcy.
Survivors include her husband, Emmett Yeomans, Hartford as well as other family members and friends.

My condolences to Ms Lavonia's family. I can remember her years back at Christian Home when we visited my Aunt Alma Henderson. Know she is in Heaven & at rest. My condolences....
May goodness God has a very special angel with him now. I have loved Aunt Lavonia for many, many years, I called her aunt but she was more like a momma to me. I have some wonderful memories such as I know her family does of her beautiful face looking toward heaven with tears rolling down her face saying "thank you sweet Jesus". When things were happening with me she knew it in her heart and she felt my pain, this is what she told me. I know she will truly be missed but she is home with God now. Aunt Vonia, RIP AND I WILL FOREVER CARRY YOUR WISDOM IN MY HEART.
