Mrs. Patricia Ann Waters Schofield of Newton (Wicksburg) passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Flowers Hospital. She was 82.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 in the Pilgrim Home Baptist Church with Brother Allen Singley and Brother Scott Cox officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.
The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 9:30 a.m. and continuing until service time. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Pilgrim Home Baptist Church building fund.
Mrs. Schofield was born May 1, 1939 in Geneva County to the late Grady Roscoe and Nada Bolin Waters. Patricia (Pat) was a devoted Christian and follower of Jesus Christ. Her daily devotionals inspired everyone who knew her and read the words she shared in obedience to Christ. Her greatest loves were God, family, and friends. She enjoyed crocheting, painting, flower gardening, and traveling. Pat was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two siblings; Bonnie Rene Fondren and Bobby Rex Waters; also, a son, David Lane Schofield.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald Lane Schofield; a daughter, Ellane Schofield Singletary (Ronnie); three sons, Johnnie Kirk Sanders (Jeanne), Delbert Neal Sanders (Renee), William Matthew Schofield (Camille); grandchildren: Hayli Sanders Holloway (Wayne), Madison Cox (Matt), Peyton Sanders, Chante’ Sanders Weaver (Brok), Courtney Sanders Perkins, Noel Sanders Ferguson (Trey), Matt Sanders (Courtney), Miranda Greer Wade (Clint), Jessica Schofield, Malia Schofield Santagelo (Chris), Brianna Schofield Wallace (Brandon); sisters, Betty June Morris and Melva Sonya Davis (Jimmy); brother, Allen Waylon Waters (Brenda); and 17 great grandchildren.

Add Your OwnPatricia was a sweet Christian cousin. She was a blessing to so many people. I was blessed by the Bible verses and devotions she posted on Facebook. We are looking forward to seeing her again in Heaven. Pat will be missed by all. We are praying for all the family and friends. May God give you His peace and comfort.
