Noah David Wood of Taylor, Alabama went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at his residence. 

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 13, 2021 from the Sorrells Funeral Home chapel in Slocomb with Reverend Mike Beckon officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Assembly of God cemetery in Taylor, AL. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until service time. 

David was born August 20, 1948 in Hartford to the late Noah and Rubylee Dixon Wood. Following high school David began his working career with Louise Interiors and later entered the construction business for himself. He was avid race car fan. He enjoyed building as well as racing cars, hunting, fishing, cooking, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He and his wife of 35 years loved to cheer for the Auburn Tigers. 

In addition to his parents, his brothers, Eual, Fate, and Armon Wood all preceded him in death. 

Survivors include his wife, Susan Childree Wood, of Taylor; son, Carl Wood (Karen), Taylor, AL; Son, Yancey Earle, Ft. Walton Beach, FL; daughter, Heather Earle Emfinger (Jay), Dothan, AL; brothers, Bual Wood (Louise), Abbeville, AL and Rev. Franklin Wood (Betty), Malvern, AL; grandchildren: Bailey Wood, Chasen Wood, River Perkins, Gracie Perkins, Breeah Rain Baker, Garrett Earle, Colin Earle, Brock Eckenrod and Jacob Eckenrod, great grandchildren, Wiley McDaniel and Cora Wood, nieces and nephews and other extended family; his sweet little fur baby, Lollie; lifelong friends Terry and Terri Lynn Sorrells
