James Kevin "Barney" Adams

Mr. James Kevin “Barney” Adams of Fadette passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021. He was 59.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb with Reverend Johnny Strickland officiating. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday one hour prior to service time.

Kevin was born October 4, 1961 to the late James Huey and Martha Berry Adams. He graduated from Slocomb High School in 1980 and was a member of Fadette Pentecostal Church. He was previously employed by Sony and Nypro where he worked himself all the way to Manufacturing Engineer. Currently, Kevin was employed at APTAR in Auburn. He was an avid Alabama fan, enjoyed the outdoors, and spending time with his family. 

Survivors include his wife Tonya Adams; daughter, Kathlynn Norman; son, Preston Hayes (Annie); granddaughter, Charlotte Hayes; sister, Phyllis Flournoy (Bobby); nephew, Todd Flournoy (Laresa); great nephew, Ethan Flournoy (Morgan); great niece, Emma Flournoy; great great niece, Finley Flournoy, and other extended family and friends.
