Mrs. Margie Sorrells Morphis of Wicksburg passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021 at Wesley Place on Honeysuckle. She was 83.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 in the Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

Mrs. Morphis was born November 7, 1937 in Geneva County to the late Rufus Melton and Clara Elizabeth Glover Sorrells. After graduating high school, Margie earned her nursing degree from Wallace Community College and worked as a nurse for many years. She enjoyed antiquing, exploring family genealogy, had a passion for music, and loved playing the organ. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family whom she loved dearly.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Allan Morphis; and a sister, Myra Sorrells Parrish all preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children: Cindy Spann and Rodney Spann (fiancé' Iris Bethea); grandchildren: Aaron Spann and Jade Spann; great grandchildren: Austin Spann and Amber Spann; brother: Robert “Bob” Sorrells; nephews: Jeff Sorrells (Carrie) and Lee Sorrells (Tammy); and other extended family and friends.
