Mr. Luther Curtis Hall of Malvern passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2013 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. He was 78.

 Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2013 at Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Slocomb with Chaplain Tim Bedsole and Reverend Hosea Parker officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery (County Road 70) with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2 until 4 pm. 

 Mr. Hall was born September 27, 1935 in Geneva County to the late Manuel Dewey and Addie Spivey Hall.  He was retired from the United States Army and was a member of the Malvern Baptist Church.  

In addition to his parents, a grandson, Kevin Paul Bedsole; sister, Frances Meadows; brothers: Forby Hall and Fred Hall, brother in law, Charles Edwin Elmore all preceded him in death. 

 Survivors include his wife of 55 years Dorothy Elmore Hall, Malvern; two daughters: Tammie Hall Bedsole (Timothy), Davenport, Iowa and Sondra Hall Beadore (Butch), Tuscaloosa; sister: Clyde Hall, Dothan; brothers: Herbert Hall, MS, Harvey Hall (Annie Lee), Rehobeth, Jessie Hall (Beverly), Daniel E. Hall and Gene Hall (Margaret) all of Dothan, Leon Hall, Malvern; sister-in-law, Evelyn Elmore, Taylor; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
