Mrs. Hilda Williams of Slocomb passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Hartford Health Care. She was 84.
A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Whitaker Church Cemetery with Rev. Bryan Klobe officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that contributions be made to the Whitaker Church Cemetery Fund, 1212 Ferndale Drive, Auburn, AL 36832. Attention Cliff Knight.
Mrs. Williams was born February 20, 1936 in Geneva County to the late Sam and Ruby Butler Moss. She enjoyed fishing, and spending time with her family. Hilda served as City Clerk for the City of Slocomb, and retired from Slocomb National Bank after many years of service.
In addition to her parents her husband, Winford Williams; brother, Ellie Moss and sister, Bessie Woodham Watson all preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Starr Williams; son, Scott Williams (Cindy); grandchildren: Brooke Knowles (Michael) and Ava Williams; great-grandchild, Rylee Knowles; sister, Janice Johnson; brother, Sam Moss; other extended family and friends.
