 Mr. Daniel Shellie Tew Sr. of Bradenton, FL (formally of Fadette) passed away peacefully Monday, December 9, 2013 at Tidewell Hospice. He was 90. 

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, December 14, at 10:00 a.m. in the Tew Family Cemetery (Wright’s Creek) with Rev. Dennis Singletary officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Tidwell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34238. 

Mr. Tew was born October 27, 1923 in Geneva County to the late John William and Ada Angeline Seay Tew.  

In addition to his parents, son, Johnny Lee Tew; two sisters: Johnnie Mae Bond and Kathleen Singletary; one brother, Raymond Tew all preceded him in death. 

Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Roberta Maples Tew; two sons: Daniel Larry Tew and Dan S. Tew Jr.; five grandchildren: Sonia Tew-Velton, Michael Tew, Johnny Lee Tew Jr., Jan Tew and Teresa Sanders; three great grandchildren: William Harrelson, Kyle Sanders and Kody Sanders; eleven nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends.
