Mr. Coleman Hamm, a resident of Hartford, Alabama passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019. He was 72.

 

Memorial services will be held at First United Methodist Church in Hartford on Thursday, May 2, 2019. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. and memorial services will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary.

 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First United Methodist Church, 205 3rd Avenue, Hartford, AL 36344.

 

Mr. Hamm attended the University of Alabama and graduated from The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Law. He earned his Juris Doctorate of Juris Prudence and practiced law in Birmingham, Alabama for 16 years. He also served 26 years in the Alabama Air National Guard retiring as a Lt. Colonel and Commander of the mission support squadron. Mr. Hamm was an avid Crimson Tide fan who always enjoyed watching Alabama football.

 

Survivors include his wife of 18 and a half years, Jill Hardwick Hamm of Hartford, Alabama; one daughter, Elaine Bailey (Glenn) of Gulf Breeze, Florida; one son, Coleman Hamm III of Trussville, Alabama; one stepdaughter, Paige Grantham (Daniel) of Fishersville, Virginia; one brother, Phillip J. Hamm of Dothan, Alabama; one sister, Maryann Hidle (Dennis) of Hartford, Alabama; five grandchildren including Victoria, Michael, and Madelyn Bailey, Coleman Hamm IV and Ryland Hamm; three stepgrandsons: Tylar, Trey, and Tanner Grantham; several nieces and nephews all of whom he loved very much.

 

The family would like to thank the community and our church family for all of your thoughts and prayers. Also, we would like to thank Southern Care Hospice of Enterprise, Alabama and Regency Hospice of Pensacola, Florida for their excellent care during Mr. Hamm’s final days.
