Mrs. Donna Anita Fulford of Hartford passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Flowers Hospital. She was 60.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 17, 2019 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb with Rev. Bruce Spivey officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continue until service time.
Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Hartford Baptist Church 105 East Burch Street, Hartford, AL 36344.
Mrs. Fulford was born September 2, 1958 in Geneva County to the late George Lavelle Hataway and Willie Ruth Preachers Hataway. Anita attended Goodman High School and later graduated from Troy State University with a degree in education. She was currently the manager of the Alabama Career Center in Enterprise. She was a great woman of faith and was very active at Hartford Baptist Church. Anita possessed a kind and loving spirit, was loved by all and will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and the Hartford Community.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Kenneth Fulford; children: Heather Nelson, Brian Fulford and Kimberly Fulford; grandchildren: Harper Nelson, Macy Fulford, LaKrista Fulford, and Alisa Fulford; mother, Willie Ruth Hataway; siblings: Daniel Hataway, Dwyatte Hataway, Don Lavelle Hataway, Dorothy Hataway, and Evelyn McDonald; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
