Friday, November 16, 1945 - Saturday, October 20, 2018

Mr. Carl M. McCloud, age 73, a longtime resident of Dothan, passed away Saturday, October 20 at Westside Terrace Nursing Home. A memorial service will be held in the at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at  Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Slocomb. Mr. McCloud was born November 16, 1945 in Abbeville, AL.  He worked as a logger most of his life.  He was a member of the Honeysuckle Road Congregation in Dothan.  He was a good man; honest, dependable, and hard working.  His main hobby was fishing.  He loved first and foremost his Lord, but he also loved his family in the flesh as well as his church family.  His propensity was to look favorably upon everyone he met. Survivors include his three sons: Gary, Carl, Jr., and Carlo; a step daughter, Yashica; two sisters: Robbie Mills and Joyce Fluker; a brother, Johnny Ed; his wife, Betty; many nieces and nephews.   The family would like to thank Westside Terrace, especially Mary Bradley and Betty Lee, for the loving care and kindness shown to Carl.  Also, thanks to Amanda and Lori at Kindred Hospice, who helped make Carl's passing more comfortable. Carl wanted to remind everyone who is reading this notice that the only thing that matters to him now, or will matter to you when you come to the end of your life, is your relationship to the Lord Jesus Christ.
