Mr. Walter Ricky Whitehurst of Slocomb passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at his home. He was 64.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2018 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Slocomb with Rev. Asa Neil Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Burns Assembly of God Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 10:00 a.m. and continuing until service time.
Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the family.
Mr. Whitehurst was born September 9, 1953 in Orlando, FL to Kathleen Norris Whitehurst and the late M.J. Whitehurst.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Whitehurst, Slocomb; two daughters: Jaime Lynn Magsam, Madison, TN and Christina Anne Cochrane, Orlando, FL; three sons: Walter Ricky Whitehurst Jr., Springfield, TN, John Joseph Whitehurst, Clermont, FL and Robert Stephen Whitehurst, Slocomb; mother, Kathleen Whitehurst, Winter Garden, FL; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Vicky Whitehurst Walker, Winter Garden, FL; other extended family and friends.
