Jasper Leon Hall, our deeply beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend passed away in early February.   He was 78. 

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2018  at Malvern Baptist Church with the Reverend Hosea Parker presiding.  Burial with full military honours, will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing.  The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday from 12:00 noon until service time.  Mr. Hall was born August 20, 1939 in Malvern, AL.  Mr. Hall grew up in the Bethlehem Church community.  He graduated from Slocomb High School in 1957 and entered the Army National Guard.  In 1958, he joined the United States Air Force and served for over 20 years retiring at the rank of Master Sergeant.  Upon his retirement from the U.S. Air Force he moved to Oslo, Norway where he worked for IBM until 1992.  He was later employed by Flowers Hospital until his final retirement.  He was a member of Malvern Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir and serving in his Sunday School class.     He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel D. and Addie Spivey Hall; two sisters: Fayoma Hall and Frances Hall Meadows; four brothers: Forby, Fred, Harvey, and Luther Hall.   He is survived by his sons: Jeffrey (Lotta) and Craig; two grandsons: Magnus and Eirik, one sister, Clyde Hall; four brothers: Herbert, Jesse (Beverly), Daniel, and Gene (Margaret).  He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who will sorely miss him.  Jasper Leon Hall will be forever missed and kept in memory.
