Mr. Jamey Lee McAllister of Slocomb passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017 as a result of an automobile accident.  He was 26. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Slocomb with Rev. Tracy Hobbs and Rev. Brad Price officiating.  Interment will follow in the Immanuel Presbyterian  Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.  Jamey was born April 25, 1991 in Jackson County, Florida to Lynn Redmon McAllister and John M. McAllister. Jamey possessed a outgoing and loving personality and he enjoyed spending time outdoors working with his dad on the cattle farm and  hunting and fishing with his friends.  He was competitive and loved to play sports and was an avid Auburn fan. WAR EAGLE! Jamey loved his family deeply and was always there to provide support. He was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed.  Jamey's paternal grandparents, W.G. and Jean McAllister preceded him in death.  Survivors include his mother, Lynn Redmon McAllister; his father, John M. McAllister; girlfriend, Emily Davis; maternal grandparents, Lester and Vera Redmon; siblings: Jessica Redmon Smith (Hagen), Mandy McAllister, Matt McAllister (Heather), Haley Baxley and  Jesse Cox; special aunt, Teresa Bofo (Chris); special uncle, Jimmy McAllister; special aunt, Brenda Hughes; special cousins: Brian McAllister (Devan), Jami Barnes (Brandon) and Jesse McAllister; his best canine companion, Benelli; other extended family and a host of friends.  Pallbearers will be Chase Merritt, Tyler Reeder, Will Harper, Steven Hyatt, Spenser Peters and Brian McAllister.
