Mrs. Carolyn Hawkins Martin went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at her home. She was 82. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June16, 2017 at Fadette Pentecostal Ministries with Rev. Johnny Strickland and Rev. George Ellison officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Carolyn was born September 4, 1934 in Geneva County to the late Arthur and Cleo Benefield Cotton. She was a true woman of faith who dedicated her life in service to Christ and her family. She was a faithful wife, loving mother and adoring grandmother who will be profoundly missed.  In addition to her parents, her first husband and the father of her children, James L. Hawkins; her second husband, Rev. T.P. Martin; son-in-law, Randy J. Adams; two sisters and two brothers all preceded her in death.  Survivors include two daughters:  Ramona Adams, Rhonda Segrest and her husband, Johnny; one grandson, Jonathan Adams, his wife Shanna and their daughter, Mary Beth; three step-great-grandchildren: Georgia, Wallis and Palmer;   four step-sons: Mike Martin (Dawn), Faron Martin (Gloria), Phillip Martin (Michelle) and Joel Martin (Tracy);           one sister, Sue Palmer (Gerald) and one brother, Joe Cotton (Patricia); several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
