Mrs. Edna Langford of Echo went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 79. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Omega Holiness Church with Rev. Rick Langford officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing. 

The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until service time. 

Mrs. Langford was born October 6, 1937 in Houston County to the late Damon and Annie May Sewell Watkins. Edna was a dedicated servant of Christ and possessed a sweet and gentle spirit. She had a servants heart and unselfishly gave of herself to others. A true Southern lady, Edna loved to cook and everyone loved when she did. She was a loving wife, adoring mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed.

 Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Louie Langford; one son, Steve Langford (Kristy); two step-children: Brenda Gail Windham and Rick Langford (Hazel); six grandchildren: Madison and Justin Langford, Jennifer Bridges (Colby), Heather Hutto (Mickey), Candace Jaggers (Joe) and Stephen Langford; four great-grandchildren: Madilyn Grace, Jackson, Hayden and Lauren Abigal; three sisters: Jean Moss, Faye Holder (J.W.) and Elaine Rogers; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
