Mr. Randy Carl Watkins of Dothan passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017. He was 51.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Malvern Baptist Church with Rev. Hosea Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Malvern Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 97, Malvern, AL 36349.
Mr. Watkins was born November 17, 1965 in Geneva, AL to Carolyn Brown Taylor and the late, Carl Watkins. He was a member of the Slocomb High School class of 1984. Randy enjoyed fishing and was an avid Alabama fan. He was a loving son, father, grandfather and brother and will be dearly missed.
In addition to his father, his grandparents: Buford and Eva Brown and William P. and Vassie Watkins preceded him in death.
Survivors include his mother, Carolyn Brown Taylor, Dothan; two daughters: Karla Watkins, Dothan and Marcy McBride (Ethan), Cottonwood; one son, Cliff Watkins (Heather), Round Rock, TX; one brother, Chris Watkins, (Kristy), Phenix City; four grandchildren: Kynlee and Karley Watkins and Kelsey and Emily McBride; one niece, Shelby Watkins and two nephews: Hunter and Christopher Watkins; other extended family and friends.

Going to miss talking to Randy about Alabama football, and picking at Auburn with him. So sorry for you lost. But I know God will take care of him, and he will be watching the games with the Bear now...Roll Tide Randy you will be missed!
