Mr. Ronald "Ronnie" Lloyd of Dothan passed away Monday, October 17, 2016 at his home. He was 64.  

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Slocomb. Burial will follow in the Slocomb City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, beginning at 10:00 a.m. and continuing until service time.  

 

Mr. Lloyd was born May 20, 1952 in Columbus, GA to the late Huey and Ruby Merritt Lloyd. Ronnie worked diligently as a barber for 48 years never missing a day of work. He was a car lover, enjoyed playing the guitar and was an avid Alabama fan. He was a loving father and grandfather who cherished the time he spent with his grandkids. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. 

 

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the family. 

 

In addition to his parents, his sister, Gloria Vann preceded him in death.

 

Survivors include, three daughters: Kim Case, Tampa, FL, Christy Lloyd, Panama City, FL and Tracy Munson, Dothan; two grandchildren: Hayden Munson and Allison Ward; two sisters: Sybil McSwain (Dennis), Hartford and Deborah Johnson (Lorelle), Dothan; one brother-in-law, Larry Vann, Dothan; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
