Mr. Randy Swann Harrison of Slocomb went home to be with the Lord Saturday, July 16, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was 56.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Slocomb with Rev. Lee Chorn officiating. Interment will follow in the New Teamon Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
Mr. Harrison was born December 24, 1959 in Houston County to the late Pascal Harrison and Hazel Swann Harrison. Randy was a dedicated servant of Christ, a member of the New Teamon Baptist Church and an avid fisherman. He was a loving and adoring husband, father, grandfather, son and brother who will be profoundly missed. Randy possessed a courageous spirit, and in spite of his long battle with cancer, always displayed an unwavering faith which can be summed up in his favorite saying, "God is good all the time!"
In addition to his father, Pascal Harrison; a sister, Patricia Jackman preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy Tew Harrison of Slocomb; daughter, Kayla Nicole Reese, her husband, James and their two daughters: Layla and Skylar of Malvern; son, David "Rogerle" Harrison and wife, Michelle of Taylor; step daughter, Leslie Mathis, her husband, Will and their son Connor of Enterprise; mother, Hazel Swann Harrison; siblings: Ginger Forrester and husband Mike, Wanda Harrison, Ricky Harrison and wife Diane, Thomas Harrison, Greg Harrison and wife Lynn; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. May you find comfort in Gods promise to his children that to be absent from the body is to be present with The Lord.
I so appreciated Randy, Greg and the rest of the family that served me over the years and did my yard work. Randy was a very special man.
