Mr. Quillian Hall of Dothan passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at his home. He was 89.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2016 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.
The family will receive friends at the church on Friday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continue until the time of service.
Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Joyful Refuge Ministries 1800 Malvern Road, Dothan, AL 36301 or Ridgecrest Baptist Church Building Fund 1231 Fortner Street, Dothan, AL 36301.
Mr. Hall was born August 14, 1926 in Houston County to the late Edgar and Laura Mae Newton Hall. He was an SFC in the US Navy on the USS LST 1041 during WWII, Asiatic Pacific Campaign and a retiree of Georgia Power Company with 40 years of service. He was a member of Georgia Power Company Ambassadors and a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Mr. Hall served as Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and Music Director at Mercedes Baptist Church, Albany, Georgia from 1955-2000. He was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and Alton Cantrell's Sunday School Class since 2001.
In addition to his parents, two sisters: Hortense Hall Bruner and Jeanette Hall Gray preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Sue Branton Hall; three daughters: Susan Diane Hall Rudd (Mike), Newnan, GA, Cynthia Hall Mitchell (Ronald), Panama City Beach, FL and Melanie Hall Fowler ( David), Acworth, GA; grandchildren: Michael Rudd (Danielle), Jennifer Gurr (Tony), Michelle Johnson, Shelley Jones, Brandon Jones (Kim), Jeffrey Potter, David Q. Boswell and Justin Boswell; great grandchildren: Amber, Hunter, Christal, Chelsea, Cody, Katelyn, Olivia, Gage, Luke, Kayla, Addison and Caitlin; great-great grandson, Jaxson; other extended family and friends.

The pediatric ophthalmology service wishes you our condolences. We all would like to attend the funeral, but it will not be possible since we all have commitments for this coming Friday. We are sending flowers to the Sorrells Funeral home as a token of our sympathy.

Mrs. Hall you and the family are in my thoughts and prayers. Mr. Hall was truly a wonderful and Godly man. It was such a privilege to have know him and to have lived next door to the both of you in Putney was a blessing. God has definitely called home an Angel. I know Mr. Hall will truly be missed by all and I am so very sorry for your loss. I will continue to keep you and the rest of the family in my prayers during this difficult time.
