Mrs. Alice Christine Brackin McAliley of Hartford passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Hartford Retirement Village. She was 94. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Hartford Baptist Church with Rev. Moody Faulk and Rev. Buddy Hood  officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing.

 

The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m. and continuing until service time. 

 

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hartford Baptist Church, 105 East Burch Street, Hartford, AL 36344.

 

Mrs. McAliley was born February 25, 1921 in Geneva County to the late Nelson L. and Janie Spears Brackin. Mrs. McAliley retired after 30 years of teaching in the Geneva County School system. She  enjoyed teaching Sunday School at Hartford Baptist Church. 

 

In addition to her parents, her husband, Lex McAliley; five sisters and six brothers all preceded her in death.

 

Survivors include one daughter, Alycia McAliley Outlaw (Wayne), Hartford; two sons: Judge Gary McAliley (Janet), Enterprise and Greg McAliley (Suanne), Niceville, FL; six grandchildren: Brent McAliley (Arin), Luverne, LeeAnn Kettunen (Will), Enterprise, Bryan McAliley (Jeri), Niceville, FL, Christopher Outlaw (Autumn), Newnan, GA, Megan Kaminski (Chris), Enterprise and Alexis Cofer (Chuck), Newnan, GA; great grandchildren: Macie, Parker, Charlie, Lily, Jack, Gavin and Aubrey; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
