I am so very sorry to hear of Bill's passing. He and I graduated high school together and we were both at Auburn together. He was a very special person to me, as well as to the members of the Class of 1967. He will be missed by so many. I pray that God will be with you all during this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. He was always a loyal friend to each and every one of us that banked at City Bank. Truly a friend. He will be missed.

We met Bill 19 years ago and it was as if we had known him for a while. He was very nice and welcoming and we always thought a lot of him.(even though I was a University of Ga. graduate and Bill was a Auburn alumi.) He will be missed by many people and we pray God will be with you all.

April and Harris, I learned of your father's death last night when I returned from Birmingham. I had been there for several days to visit with the girls and grandkids. Mark, Elizabeth and Luke came in from Maui to baptize Eleanor's daughter Abigail. I was reading several issues of the Eagle and saw that your father had died when I read his obit in Saturday's paper. I have to be in Elmore County for court today and cannot attend the services. I am so sorry. Doug

I am very sorry for your families loss. I went to school with Bill and lived in the same apt building above him and Steve Lee. We had a good time at Auburn, and would all pool our money and have a big pot of spaghetti on Friday nights. He had a heart of gold, and a determination that we all admired.

Cass Howell
