Mr. James Huey Adams of Fadette passed away Monday, March 3, 2014 at Signature Health Care Center in Graceville, FL. He was 89.

 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m.  on Wednesday, March 5 at Fadette Pentecostal Ministries Church with Rev. Johnny Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing. Mr. Adams will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

 

Mr. Adams was born October 11, 1924 in Geneva County to the late John Ransom and Minnie Lee Hartzog Adams.  He was a dedicated member of the Fadette Pentecostal Ministries Church.

 

In addition to his parents, his loving wife of 66 years, Martha B. Adams; three sisters: Ora B. Bottoms, Lessie Cain and Willa Cunningham; two brothers: Leamon and Quincy Adams preceded him in death.

 

Survivors include one daughter, Phyllis Flournoy (Bobby), Fadette; one son, Kevin Adams (Tonya), Rehobeth; one grandson, Todd Flournoy (Laresa), Malvern; two great-grandchildren: Ethan and Emma Flournoy, Malvern; two step grandchildren: Preston Hayes and Kathlynn Norman, Rehobeth; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
