Mrs. Jacqueline “Jackie” Hughes Collins of Malvern passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Signature Healthcare of North FL. She was 74.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Memory Hill Cemetery with Rev. Hosea Parker officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.
The family request that flowers be omitted and contributions in memory of Mrs. Collins be made to The American Cancer Society, 250 Williams Street, Atlanta, GA 30303 or Daysprings Hospice, 1275 James Drive, Enterprise, AL 36330.
Mrs. Collins was born January 7, 1947 in Malvern, AL to the late Gaston and Tessie Smith Hughes. She loved the outside and growing things. “Jackie” adored her two grandchildren and was a loving wife, and grandmother who will be dearly missed. She was loved from the day she got here and will be loved forever.
In addition to her parents, two brothers: Harold and Jimmy Hughes; one sister, Carolyn Baxley all preceded her in death.
Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Dennis Collins; son, David Collins (Mandy); grandchildren: Stone Collins and River Collins; other extended family and friends.
