Mr. Joseph L. Pippins of Malvern went home to be with the Lord Saturday, December 5, 2020.  He was 80. 

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 in the Fadette Pentecostal Ministries Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. 

Mr. Pippins was born August 10, 1940 in Houston County to the late Mr. & Mrs. Joseph A. Pippins.  JL loved and missed his late wife Mary Ann!  He possessed a “Servant’s Heart” and was a faithful member of Fadette Pentecostal Ministries Church. JL was an avid Alabama Football fan, loved classic cars & trucks, and was a hard worker. He adored his grandchildren and they lovingly called him “Pockie”.  He will be dearly missed. 

In addition to his parents, his wife, Mary Ann Pippins preceded him in death. 

Survivors include his children: Tammie Atkins (Robert) and Gerry Pippins (Amy); grandchildren: Alana Taylor (Justin), Alyssa Spencer (Zach), and Jarrod Pippins; five great grandchildren; sister, Katie Segars (Bennie); several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
