Mr. David R. Cassady of Hartford passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Flowers Hospital. He was 64.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 28, 2019 at Tabernacle United Methodist Church Cemetery will Rev. Chuck Nordstrom officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m.
Mr. Cassady was born February 26, 1955 in Hartford to the late William Royce and Mildred Bernell Caraway Cassady. David spent many years working in the railroad industry. He enjoyed being outdoors, going to the race track and was an avid Alabama football fan. David loved spending time with his family and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Shirley Cassady; his children: Jennifer Cassady, Matthew Cassady (Kiley), Ashley Cassady, and Brandon Cassady; three grandchildren; sister, Betty Lynn Nolin (Dewey); nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

I pray the Lord gives peace to you in this time of sorrow. David was always a great and loyal friend. We graduated high school together. He always had a super laugh and David was a heck of a running back for us bulldogs. A friend there were non no better. Rest In Peace ole friend.
