Mr. Coy Thomas Hathaway of Slocomb passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Southeast Health.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 27, 2019 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Slocomb with Rev. Wynese Lolley and Rev. Rhonda Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Harris Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continue until service time.
Mr. Hathaway was born February 17, 1947 in Holmes County to the late Henry Thomas and Lavada Garner Bridges. Coy was an avid fisherman and took great pride in tending to his flowers. He enjoyed playing numerous games and watching The Gameshow Network.
In addition to his parents, his three brothers: Roy Henry Hathaway, J.W. Garner, and Emmanuel Hathaway preceded him in death.
Survivors include two sisters: Jannie Mims (Anthony), Samson, Mary Jordan (Jesse), Samson; four nieces, one nephew, and other extended family and friends.
