Mr. Royce David Bradshaw passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Flowers Hospital. He was 74.

 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m., November 2 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Byrd, Rev. Dicky McAllister and Rev. Johnny Bradshaw officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Slocomb directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6 until 8 p.m.

 

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Christ Helping Hands c/o Geneva Baptist Association, 710 Dothan Hwy, Hartford, AL 36344 or to the Gideons International, P.O. Box 41, Hartford, AL 36344.

 

 

Mr. Bradshaw was born December 29, 1938 in Geneva County to the late Daniel D. and Velma Mae Blount Bradshaw. He was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon. He retired from Phillips Van Heusen Company after 34 years. Royce was an avid gardener and fisherman who loved the outdoors and was a member of the Hardees’ Breakfast Club.

 

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Bradshaw, Hartford; daughter, Pam Hendrix (Johnny); son, Galen Bradshaw both of Slocomb; grandson, Brad Hendrix, Auburn; sister, Louise Speigner (Steven), Dothan and brother, Doyle Bradshaw (Cindy), Newton; nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
